The star of Europe
In this half-day excursion we will enter one of the oldest villages in Spain. This Sevillian town preserves the character of an Andalusian village as well as a great monumental heritage that we will get to know during our guided tour. Situated half an hour from Seville, our guide will pick you up and take you to the Alcores region of Seville.
Our visit will begin by the necropolis of Carmona, with more than 2000 years old is catalogued as the first archaeological site in Spain open to the public. It hides such unique tombs as the elephant’s or Servilia’s mausoleum. After knowing it we will go to the historical center of the locality.
We will discover the main monuments of the millenary city called “The Star of Europe” by Julius Caesar. Carthaginians, Romans, Muslims and Christians have left an indelible mark in a place where history is hidden in every street. Our walking route will take us from the Alcázar de la Puerta de Sevilla to La Puerta de Córdoba and the Alcázar del Rey Don Pedro. We will pass by numerous Mudejar temples and convents as well as seeing several viewpoints on our tour of the old town. After the visit we will set course again to the city of Seville where we will arrive before lunchtime.
